What is an Extra Home Watch Visit?

A home watch plan sets a regular schedule of visits. Sometimes you want one more between them. An Extra Home Watch Visit is a single, additional visit with the same full inspection a scheduled visit includes, booked whenever you need another look at the house.

We walk the home inside and out, working through the same 24 checkpoints (13 inside and 11 outside), and photograph what we see. You receive a timestamped photo report, so you see the home as it is today rather than relying on the last scheduled visit.

If something needs attention, we call you right away. Owners often add one before guests or family arrive, after a contractor finishes work, or any time they just want to know how things look. It is a one-time charge, with no change to your plan.

What’s included

What is included in an Extra Home Watch Visit?

Interior inspection

We walk through your home and check the rooms, ceilings, walls, floors and visible plumbing for changes, leaks, stains or anything out of place.

Temperature and humidity

We record temperature and humidity readings and confirm your thermostat is set the way you asked.

A/C operation

We make sure your A/C is running and cooling, which matters most in Florida heat.

Refrigerator and freezer

We confirm the refrigerator and freezer are cold and running so nothing spoils while you are away.

Doors and windows

We confirm doors and windows are closed, secure and undamaged, and look for signs of forced entry or tampering.

Exterior walk-around

We walk the exterior and view the roof, soffit and gutters from the ground, note landscaping issues and check for storm or weather damage.

Pool and lanai check

If you have a pool, spa, lanai or outdoor furniture, we check general condition, screens and whether items are in place.

Timestamped photo report

Every check is photographed and time-stamped, then delivered to you as a timestamped photo report so you can see exactly how the home looked that day.

A call if needed

If we find something that needs attention, we call you right away with photos and can coordinate a vendor with your approval.

Answers

What do owners ask about an Extra Home Watch Visit?

How much is an Extra Home Watch Visit?

It is $75, charged one time. That price includes our full 24-point interior and exterior inspection and a timestamped photo report. Repairs and third-party costs are not included, and if we coordinate a vendor for you at your request, that vendor bills you directly for their work. Ask us if you have questions.

What does the extra visit include?

It includes the same 24-point inspection as a scheduled visit: 13 interior checkpoints and 11 exterior checkpoints, with a timestamped photo report. If we find something that needs attention, we call you right away rather than waiting for the report, and we can coordinate a vendor with your approval. Call us to learn more.

When should I book an extra visit?

Common reasons are before guests arrive, after repairs or contractor work, and any time you want another look between scheduled visits. It also suits owners who want a fresh record of the home on a specific date. We confirm the timing and access with you when you call. We schedule it around your plans.

How do I get started?

Call (239) 301-8657, email info@truenorthhws.com or use the contact page. Tell us the address, why you want the extra visit and when it matters. We confirm the details with you and schedule it. If you are new to True North, ask us about a free walkthrough of your home first.

Is this the same as a home watch plan?

No. A home watch plan is a recurring monthly schedule of visits with a flat monthly price. An Extra Home Watch Visit is a single added visit for a one-time charge of $75. It works with home watch plans, the Homecoming Package and Hurricane Protection, and it does not change your plan.

Does an extra visit guarantee nothing will go wrong?

No. A visit is a visual inspection of accessible areas at one point in time. It helps catch problems early and gets you a photo record and a quick call, but it cannot prevent every issue or predict what happens after we leave. Repairs are not part of the visit.
