During the visit we secure or bring in reasonable outdoor furniture and loose items, check doors, windows and accessible areas, and photograph the home. We also coordinate your shutter company so the job gets scheduled. The shutter company installs and removes the shutters, and bills you directly for that work.
The photos show how your home looked before the storm, which can be useful if you later need to file a claim. We are a local team, so we know when roads and neighborhoods are open. If a storm moves in faster than expected, access can be delayed, and we come as soon as it is safe.

Our service covers the visit, outdoor items, door and window checks, coordination and photos. Shutter installation, removal and repairs are not included in our price. The price depends on home size: $225 for homes up to 2,500 sq. ft. and $300 for homes from 2,501 to 5,000 sq. ft. Shutter company fees and any other third-party costs are separate. What if the storm arrives faster than expected?
Roads or your neighborhood may be closed or unsafe, and access to your property can be delayed. Because we live and work locally, we know when your area is open, and we come as soon as it is safe. We cannot promise a visit time during a fast-moving storm, and your safety and ours come first.
Is this different from the Hurricane Protection Package?
Yes. This service is the pre-storm visit only. The Hurricane Protection Package is one flat fee per storm that covers a priority visit before and after the storm. If you want both visits, the package is usually the better fit. Ask us during the free walkthrough and we will help you choose.
