If you are away for the summer or travel for long stretches, it helps to have someone start the vehicle now and then. With this add-on we start your car or golf cart during your home watch visits to help keep batteries healthy and tires ready.
On each visit we start the vehicle, look at the battery and tires at a glance, and make a note in your timestamped photo report. If something looks wrong, such as a battery that will not start the vehicle, we let you know so you can decide what to do before you arrive.
This add-on is billed monthly with your home watch plan. It covers start-up and a quick look only. Charging, detailing, repairs and driving your vehicle off the property are not included. Full vehicle care is also available and quoted for your vehicle.

We tour your home with you and see where the car or golf cart is parked. You tell us anything we should know, such as where the key is kept or how the vehicle is usually left.

We confirm the details with you and attach the add-on to your home watch plan, billed monthly along with the plan. You do not need a new plan.

What does the vehicle and golf cart start-up include?
On each home watch visit we start your car or golf cart to help keep the battery healthy, check the battery and tires at a glance, and add a note to your photo report. If something looks wrong, we let you know. It does not include charging, detailing or repairs, and we do not drive the vehicle off the property.
How much does the Vehicle & Golf Cart Start-Up cost?
It costs $25 per month. It is a flat monthly add-on to a True North Home Watch plan and is billed along with the plan, so there is no separate account. Home watch plans start at $110 a month. Full vehicle care is also available and is quoted for your vehicle.
Will you drive my car or charge my golf cart?
No. We start the vehicle during your visit, but driving it off the property and charging are not included. Detailing and repairs are not included either. If you want more vehicle care, ask us and we will quote it for your vehicle and confirm what is possible and the cost before we start.
What if my car will not start?
We let you know. A battery that will not start the vehicle is the kind of problem this add-on is meant to catch before you arrive. With your approval we can coordinate a vendor, such as a mechanic, and meet them at your home. The vendor bills you directly for any work.

Will starting my car or cart keep the battery healthy for sure?
No. Starting a vehicle helps keep a battery healthy, but it does not promise the battery or vehicle will work when you return, and this is not a mechanical inspection. What you get is a regular start-up, a look at the battery and tires, and a dated note in your report.
